Founder Tanya, originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, grew up immersed in nature on her family’s farm. With parents deeply rooted in horticulture, landscaping and farming, Tanya inherited not only their skills but also their values: integrity, generosity, and a passion for creating spaces where people feel connected and at ease.
In 2019, Leafe Life was formally established, shaped by Tanya’s professional experience in the disability and aged care sectors and her desire to give her father meaningful, active work later in his life.
Although he has since passed, his spirit, independence, and people-first approach remain woven into the DNA of the business. He was a cornerstone of the team, much loved by clients, and continues to inspire everything they do. Today, Tanya’s mother Lillian plays a vital role, bringing decades of gardening expertise and design knowledge, particularly in rose pruning and softscape design, to help create the beautiful, restorative spaces Leafe Life is known for.

What sets Leafe Life apart is our approach. We don’t only maintain gardens and homes, we build relationships. Our philosophy of companion gardening reflects our belief that wellbeing comes not only from the natural environment, but also from the consistency, connection and trust between people.
Meet Our Team

Rooted in Passion, Growing with Purpose

From soil to bloom, our team brings years of experience and genuine love for all things green.

Tanya

Director
Tanya’s connection to nature began on her family’s farm in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she grew up surrounded by horticulture, landscaping, and the cycles of life. Those early years instilled in her a deep respect for integrity, hard work, and the restorative power of the outdoors. After immigrating to Australia more than fifteen years ago, she carried those values with her, and in 2019 Leafe Life was established.

Today, the business is enriched by the legacy of Tanya’s late father Neil, whose independence, craftsmanship, and people-first approach remain woven into everything they do, and by her mother Lillian, whose decades of gardening expertise and design flair continue to shape their projects. As both a business owner and a mother, Tanya understands how important it is to have outdoor spaces that bring balance, connection, and joy — spaces where families, clients, and communities can truly thrive.
