Hi, I’m Tanya,
Founder of Leafe Life.

We’re a family-run business that is passionate
about creating outdoors spaces you love.  

Growing up as a young girl on a farm in Johannesburg, South Africa, I’ve always been connected to nature and the cycles of life. I was the first one in our family to immigrate to Australia over fifteen years ago. My sister, one of my biggest supporters, joined us several years later and our parents Neil and Lillian, finally joined us in 2015.

Growing up on the farm had a huge impact on my life and it grounded me in a very authentic way. My parents spent their lives in horticulture, landscaping, gardening and farming. They’re down-to-earth, wholehearted people who are incredibly generous and honourable. They leave a legacy wherever they go. They are proud, positive and optimistic and they have been inspirational role models for us throughout our lives. 

Having my father, who has sadly passed and now my mother, actively working in our business daily brings so much joy and value to what we do. My father never worked for anyone else and had always owned his own business. Fiercely independent with a background as a mechanic and a handyman, he created magic with any home or garden project. Aside from his handyman skills, his genius was also in his natural connection to people, which if you didn’t experience, I hope can now shine through me!

My mother has decades of design and gardening experience, a specialist in rose pruning and she is often the mastermind behind the garden designs we offer, transforming your garden into a beautiful sanctuary.

Being a mother myself of the most beautiful daughter, I understand how busy life gets. Your gardens and outdoor areas should be a place to enjoy with your family and friends!

Being a true family-run business I work with my husband, Luan, as well as my nephew and other family members. You can meet our other hard-working and talented team members below.
